We arrived in Burbank, CA. on Christmas Day around 12:30. Rented a car and drove directly to The Staples Center in Los Angeles. We knew the Lakers were playing the Boston Celtics who were on a roll winning 19 games in a row. We did not have tickets and the game was completely sold out. Scalping tickets in California is illegal. Were we going to break the law and scalp tickets? Well yeah. We tried to look incognito about it. As we looked around we kinda noticed that we were the only 2 white people around for probably miles, and so we basically stuck out in the crowd...so to speak. I guess it looked like we were looking for tickets, so we ended up walking with a few African American men, kinda like a nice Sunday stroll catching up on old times.....Yeah OK. So yes the typical story of scalping tickets paying $120.00 a piece for $10.00 a piece tickets. SUCKERS!Thursday, January 22, 2009
